THE BEAST - Custom Papercraft Spark GT

To close the first season of customized papercraft models of the Chevrolet Spark GT, the order for a 2020 model known as "The Beast" was received in the city of Cali in Colombia.

Hand in hand with @sparktanos_cali and @labestia_cali this personalized design was developed, integrating the details that we had already found in other Spark GT designs, but integrating the front of the latest generation of this vehicle.

To achieve the correct proportions and dimensions of this design, new tools were integrated into the project, a scan was carried out with a real vehicle directly from the Chevrolet dealership to have the 3D reference, to create the textures and the alignment of the hexagons it was combined illustrator and Mudbox, calculating the deformations of each element in the projection views for an exact match of each detail.

Likewise, you can see that this design has a strong presence of decals and logos on its rear windows, which is why several vector tracing tools were used from photos to be able to replicate each decal.

The scale of this piece is 1:18, with a total of 20.5cm long, it is a unique unit to date and was delivered in an acrylic urn and will possibly be exhibited next to the royal car at different national events.

This design integrates the expansion system of the base model, making it flexible to editions with geometry changes, allowing the design to be transferred to new custom orders for the 2022 Spark GT.
